Organizations can be characterized by the "tools" they use to manage conflict situations.  The methods used by the Peacemaker tend to be Constructive, Informative, or Obstructive.  The methods used by the Peacekeeper tend to be Obstructive and Destructive. An intervention program for a complex conflict situation may require the use of all these "tools" and involve the coordinated effort of Peacemakers & Peacekeepers. 

 This information system focuses on Peacemaking Organizations.  As a result, it is useful to understand the primary role of organization in the peacemaking process.

Peacemaking organizations can be found by performing a search by the primary "Role" they play in the peace industry.  Just select a Role from the list and then click on "Search by Role"

Peacemaking organizations can be characterized by the "Third Side" role they play in the peace industry.    Just select one of the 10 Third Side Roles from the list and then click on "Search by Third Side Role" to identify organizations with similar Third Side roles.
